Mission Statement:
Roots is the Children and Family Ministry Program at Trinity Church Grand Island. Inspired by God’s Word, Colossians 2:7, we pray that the Roots program encourages children and their families to “plant [their] roots in Christ and let Him be the foundation for [their] lives.”
Information about programming:
Roots Ministry offers Sunday School Classes for children entering Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade. The “Buds” (Pre-K to first grade) and “Blossoms” (second to fifth grade) Sunday School classes will explore God’s word and discover his never-ending, amazing love through skits, crafts, snacks, games, songs and more! Lessons are inspired by the Buzz and Deep Blue curriculums. The curriculums chosen are both Bible-based and interactive in order to engage children of all ages, personalities and learning styles. Sunday School classes run during the 10 am. church service. Children can remain with their families/caregiver during the beginning of Sunday Worship and transition down to the Sunday School rooms immediately following the Children’s Moment.
Nursery care for our “Seedlings” (birth to age 3) is also provided on Sunday Mornings from8:45-11:45 am. Parents can also make use of this care for children (birth to fifth grade)duringthe 9 am. Adult Sunday School hour.
Roots Ministry also offers monthly family-fun events! Children and their families can look forward to fun-filled field trips, movie nights, holiday celebrations and opportunities for fellowship. Details, dates and times are available on the church calendar, Trinity E-Tiding and monthly Roots newsletter.
